Keeping History Alive: Why It Matters

Updated: Jun 11

In today's world, educating and empowering individuals about Black history has never been more crucial.

Across the country, books are being banned. Lessons are being censored. Stories that once gave voice to struggle, triumph, and legacy are quietly disappearing from classrooms and libraries. This isn’t just erasure, it’s withholding truth from our children and silencing the legacy that shapes us.

Knowing their history gives children the power to see who they are and who they can become.

You cannot tell the story of American History without Black History, it is essential. It tells the story of resistance, brilliance, innovation, and identity. Without it, generations grow up disconnected from their roots unaware of the heroes who broke barriers, built communities, and paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today.

That’s why Coloring Culture exists. Through rich illustrations and real historical facts, we give children the opportunity to explore their heritage in an engaging, creative way. Each page is a tool not just for learning, but for legacy. When one child learns the truth of who they are, it doesn’t end there. That truth is carried forward, shared, spoken, and passed down. Each one, teach one. This is how our history lives on: through connection, through knowledge, and through the hearts that keep it alive.

Our power doesn’t fade. It evolves. It grows. It reaches into the next generation and the next carrying pride, purpose, and possibility.
